Are you helping someone to apply for CUKAS courses?

If you are helping someone to apply though CUKAS, we aim to provide you with all of the information that you need to make the journey to higher education as smooth as possible for your students.

This section explains how students go about applying for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in music at seven conservatoires in the UK and how CUKAS deals with their applications.

CUKAS is the Conservatoires UK Admissions Service. We provide a central application service for courses at the following conservatoires in the UK.


The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music do not recruit through CUKAS. Applicants should apply directly to these conservatoires.

We handle applications for the following types of full-time and part-time courses in music:

  • Undergraduate degree level courses
  • Postgraduate degree level courses
  • Postgraduate certificate and diploma courses
  • Courses with no award

Please remember that all applicants must apply through us for any courses listed on Course Search
