CUKAS - Important dates

Be prepared when it comes to the deadlines

There are different dates to be aware of when making an application and waiting for decisions from conservatoires. The tables below show the important dates and deadlines during the 2012 and 2011 application cycles.

2012 entry calendar

Date	Event
Mid-July 2011	Applicants start to apply online on the CUKAS website. Applicants can follow the progress of their applications online using the Track service on the website.
1 October 2011 (midnight UK time)	Closing date for 'on-time' applications. Applicants for dance, drama or screen production courses you may have a different deadline - check the conservatoires' websites for information.
2 October 2011	Applications received from this date will be classed as 'late' and will only be considered if conservatoires have unfilled places remaining.
15 October 2011	Auditions start.
1 February 2012	From this date applicants must contact the conservatoires to find out if there are vacancies before applying.
2 February 2012	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received decisions for all their choices by 5 January 2012.
3 April 2012	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received decisions for all their choices by 5 March 2012. On 22 March 2012 CUKAS sends SMS reminder messages to applicants who must reply to their offers by 3 April 2012.
2 August 2012	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received decisions for all their choices by 16 July 2012. On 18 July 2012 CUKAS sends SMS reminder messages to applicants who must reply to their offers by 2 August 2012.
7 August 2012 (to be confirmed)	Publication of SQA examination results.
16 August 2012	Publication of GCE and Advanced Diploma results. Conservatoires must inform CUKAS whether or not applicants have met the conditions of their offers.
24 August 2012	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received decisions for all their choices by 9 August 2012. On 15 August CUKAS sends SMS reminder messages to applicants who must reply to their offers by 24 August 2012.
31 August 2012 (midnight UK time)	Final day for the receipt of 'late' applications at CUKAS.
28 September 2012	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received the last decision for their choices after 9 August 2012.

CUKAS applicants who have also applied through UCAS and/or the Graduate Teacher Training Registry (GTTR) can only hold a confirmed place in one application system. A confirmed place in CUKAS is a Guaranteed Unconditional offer as your first choice (GU1) and in UCAS or the GTTR it is an Unconditional Firm (UF) place.

We ask applicants who hold confirmed places in more than one application system to confirm their acceptance of one place and to withdraw from any others.

1 February 2011	From this date applicants must contact the conservatoires to find out if there are vacancies before applying.
31 March 2011	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received decisions for all their choices by 5 March 2011. On 1 March and 23 March 2011 CUKAS sends SMS reminder messages to applicants who must reply to their offers by 31 March 2011.
30 July 2011	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received decisions for all their choices by 15 July 2011. On 20 July 2011 CUKAS sends SMS reminder messages to applicants who must reply to their offers by 30 July 2011.
4 August 2011	Publication of SQA examination results.
18 August 2011	Publication of GCE and Advanced Diploma results. Conservatoires must inform CUKAS whether or not applicants have met the conditions of their offers.
25 August 2011	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received decisions for all their choices by 9 August 2011. On 16 August CUKAS sends SMS reminder messages to applicants who must reply to their offers by 25 August 2011.
31 August 2011 (midnight UK time)	Final day for the receipt of 'late' applications at CUKAS.
30 September 2011	Final date for applicants to reply to offers where CUKAS received the last decision for their choices after 9 August 2011.
