What we do and how we can help

CUKAS is the Conservatoires UK Admissions Service. We provide a central application service for courses at the following conservatoires in the UK.

Birmingham Conservatoire
Leeds College of Music
Royal College of Music
Royal Northern College of Music
Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama
Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance

The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music do not recruit through CUKAS. Applicants should apply directly to these conservatoires.

We handle applications for the following types of full-time and part-time courses in music:

  • undergraduate degree level courses
  • postgraduate degree level courses
  • postgraduate certificate and diploma courses
  • courses with no award.

Our process, tools and guidelines make the application process easy, accurate and timely for students and for staff at the conservatoires.

We have a number of tools on this website which students can use when they want to research and apply for courses in the UK.

Course Search: makes it easier for students to search our entire database of courses.

Apply: allows students to apply online and guides them, step-by-step, through the process.

Track: allows students to follow the progress of their applications and to respond to their offers.
