What if I want to divide my studies equally between two instruments?

Your choice of conservatoire and course determines whether or not you can divide your studies equally between two instruments. After you have entered a conservatoire and a course in the choices section on your application, you click on a drop-down list to select your study type. This list will tell you which of the following types of study are offered for that choice of conservatoire and course:

Joint Main Instrument Study - You can divide your studies equally between two instruments.

Secondary Instrument Study - You can study one main instrument and another as a secondary instrument.

Main Instrument Study - You can only study one instrument.

Alternative Instrument Study - You study one instrument, but you can audition in two instruments to increase your chances of obtaining a place. You usually have to pay a higher audition fee.
