Registration

The registration process takes about five minutes and there is no fee to register. To access the registration screen, click Apply on the CUKAS homepage.

Registration is a process of entering your personal details, for example name, date of birth, address. When you have completed your registration, you will be given a username. You will also be asked to choose your own password. Please make sure this is easy to remember. You must make a note of your username and password so that you can log into Apply and Track later.

Title, gender, first/given name(s), surname/family name and date of birth

It is important that the names you give are the same as on official documents, such as your passport, birth certificate or driving licence. trombones

Select your title from the drop-down list.
Click on either Male or Female.
Enter your first name and middle name(s) in the box.
Enter your last name(s) in the box. If your name is too long for the available space, enter it in full at the beginning of your personal statement.
Select your date of birth using the drop-down lists.

Postal address

This is the address where CUKAS and your chosen conservatoires will write to you. All correspondence will be sent to this address until you have enrolled at the conservatoire. Make sure you include: the flat/house names or numbers; the street; the town; and the country.

Click on UK, EU/Overseas or British Forces Post Office (BFPO).
Enter your full address into the four boxes.
If your address is in the UK, enter your post code.
If your address is outside the UK, click on 'see list of countries' and select your country from the list.

Home telephone number and mobile number

We or the conservatoires may need to contact you by phone.

Enter your full home telephone number, including any area or international code(s). Only enter numbers - do not use brackets, spaces, dashes or the + symbol.
Enter your mobile number or cell phone number, if you have one. Please enter numbers only - do not use brackets, spaces, dashes or the + symbol. We may use this number to send you a text message to remind you to reply to any offers that you receive. These messages will not tell you about any changes to your application or state any decisions made by your chosen conservatoires.

Email address

Please enter your email address in the box and again in the 'confirm email address' box, taking care to enter it exactly the same both times. We will use this email address to contact you.

Your email address will be seen by the conservatories and CUKAS, so please make sure that it does not cause offence.

Once you have registered, you will be sent an email to this address which contains a verification code. Please follow the instructions in the email to verify your email address. We can then send emails alerting you to changes to your application, including decisions made by your chosen conservatoires. These messages will not list the actual changes or give any decisions; they will tell you to log in to Track to view any changes. Track is available on the CUKAS website for you to use once we have processed your application.

Mailings from CUKAS

CUKAS is an admissions service administered by UCAS. The UCAS group of companies may send you information not directly related to your application, but covering areas of interest such as:

funding and sponsorship opportunities
health issues
career opportunities relevant to your chosen subjects
goods/services relevant to higher education (such as student banking and travel discounts).

These mailings are not related to your application. They are for information purposes only. Please note that at no time are your details released to any of the companies wishing to have information passed to you.

Such information may be sent by email, SMS text or in the post. Please tick the boxes to show how you would like to receive this information.

Click 'Next' to continue with your registration.

Security details

To complete your registration with CUKAS so that you will be able to use Apply and Track, you need a username and password.

Your username, which has been automatically generated, cannot be changed.

Password

To protect your application, please create a valid password. Choose a password which you will be able to remember. Do not use anything somebody could easily guess, for example your name or date of birth. Your password must be between 6 and 14 characters in length and must contain at least one number and one letter.

Please enter your password in the 'choose a password' box and again in the 'confirm password' box, taking care to enter it exactly the same both times.

Please do not use a password which may cause offence.

Security question

If you forget your password, you will be able to retrieve it by answering a security question. Think of a question which is personal to you and can have only one answer. Enter this into the 'security question' box. Enter the answer into the 'desired answer to security question' box. Your question might for example be 'Where was my favourite holiday?' or 'What is my rabbit's name?'.

Click 'Submit' to complete your registration.

The next screen will confirm that your registration has been successful. This screen also shows your username, which has been generated by our computer system and cannot be changed.

Keep your username and password safe as you will need them each time you log into your application.
