You can access Apply from the CUKAS website from early July onwards to make an online application for admission in September of the next year (for instance, you may apply in July 2011 for entry in September 2012).
For music applications, if you apply by 1 October 2011 (midnight UK time), your application is 'on time' and all your chosen conservatoires will consider you.
For dance, drama or screen production courses, if you apply by 15 January (midnight UK time), your application is 'on time' and your chosen conservatoire will consider you - please check the conservatoires' websites for further information. Please note the closing date for international applicants applying for dance, drama, screen or production courses at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is 31 March 2012 (midnight UK time).
You are strongly recommended to give yourself sufficient time to complete your application, pay the application fee and resolve any queries so that it can be sent to us before the deadline passes.
If you apply after the course deadline and before 31 August 2012 (midnight UK time), we will still process your application and send it to your chosen conservatoires. Your application will, however, be 'late' and the conservatoires may not be able to consider you. After 1 February 2012, you must contact the conservatoires about vacancies before you apply.
After 31 August 2012 (midnight UK time), you cannot make an online application through CUKAS in the application cycle for 2012 entry. If you want to apply after 31 August you must contact the conservatoires for advice.
You cannot apply for deferred entry. However, when considering applications, conservatoires can offer deferred places for the following year's entry in response to a request from you, or after obtaining your agreement.
If you receive a conditional offer in the 2012 cycle for a deferred place to start at a conservatoire in 2013, you must meet the conditions of the offer by 31 August 2012 unless an alternative date is set by the conservatoire.
