Infrastructure upgrade

As part of our continuous work to improve the quality of service offered by UCAS we will soon be implementing some further infrastructure changes.

We will be upgrading our communications infrastructure to provide further resilience and fail over capability.

To enable us to do this the following services will be unavailable or at risk whilst the upgrades are taking place:

Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April 2010

  • xml-link
  • web-link
  • Apply (all schemes)
  • Track (all schemes)
  • Course Search (all schemes)
  • UCAS website
  • GTTR website
  • CUKAS website
  • UKPASS website
  • SPA website
  • Application and Decision Tracker
  • Yougofurther
  • FTP and SFTP servers

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April

The upgrade that was due to take place on 17/18 has been postponed.

This loss of service will affect both live and test services.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that connections to UCAS should not be made by direct IP Address. Host names should be used as directed by our product manual. This will be particularly important once this upgrade has been completed.

Thank you for your cooperation with this important upgrade work.

If you have any further enquiries please contact the UCAS Service Desk.
